The second and the last test match of the series between India and Bangladesh is to be played in Kanpur from 27th September. But before that, Uttar Pradesh PWD has issued a big warning. Uttar Pradesh PWD has estimated the weakness of a stand of Kanpur's Green Park Stadium and has called it dangerous for the spectators. PWD officials believe that the condition of the stand is not such that it can bear the weight of the full strength of spectators coming during the test match.

The stand about which Uttar Pradesh PWD has expressed concern is the case of Balcony C in Kanpur's Green Park Stadium. After the concern expressed by PWD officials, only half of the tickets of Balcony C are being sold for the test match from its full capacity. UPCA CEO Ankit Chatterjee told Indian Express that PWD expressed some concern, after which we decided that we will not sell all the tickets of Balcony C. He further said that we have given permission to sell only 1700 tickets of that stand, whereas its full strength is 4800. According to him, the repair work of Balcony C will start soon.

A part of Green Park stadium is weak, in danger of collapse

According to PWD officials, if the full number of spectators come to that part of the stadium, there will be a possibility of a major accident. On Tuesday, September 24, some engineers from PWD went to the balcony C of the stadium and spent 6 hours there. After that, they warned the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association about the seriousness of the matter. They asked UPCA to keep that part of the stadium closed on match day so that no major accident occurs.

Quoting a PWD engineer, Indian Express wrote that the stands do not have the capacity to bear the weight of more than 50 cricket fans if all of them start jumping on Rishabh Pant's sixes. This stadium needs repairing.

India and Bangladesh teams in Kanpur

The Indian and Bangladeshi teams have reached Kanpur on 24th September for the second test match to be played in Kanpur. After the warning received from PWD, it has now become a matter of prestige for both UPCA and BCCI to conduct the match safely and without any hindrance.
