Delhi: The first match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh was played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, in which India won by 280 runs. Before this match, Virat Kohli gifted his bat to Indian fast bowler Akash Deep. Now Akash has revealed the story of this special gift.

Akash Deep told that Virat Kohli gave him this bat during the pre-match camp. Akash is also a part of Virat's IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

He said, “Virat Bhaiya himself gave me the bat. He must have seen something special in my batting, when he asked me, 'Do you want the bat?' I was very happy. This is a big gift, which I will never use. I will decorate it in my room as a memory and I have also taken his autograph on the bat.”

Manoj Tiwari also praised Akash Deep

Let us tell you that Akash took two wickets in two consecutive balls in the first Test match against Bangladesh, however, he missed out on taking a hattrick. Former Indian batsman Manoj Tiwari also praised his brilliant bowling

He said, “Aakash has performed well in Indian conditions, when he plays on foreign grounds, his performance will put him among the big bowlers.” Akash has been a part of the Bengal team in domestic cricket and Manoj Tiwari has been his teammate.
