Kanpur, Sep 24: The Bangladesh cricket team arrived in Kanpur on Tuesday (September 24) for the second and final Test of their two-match series against India, set to begin on September 27 at the iconic Green Park Stadium.
  Led by skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto, the team was greeted with a warm reception, reflecting the city's excitement for the upcoming clash. Upon their arrival at Chakeri Airport, the Bangladesh team was met with an enthusiastic crowd. Fans lined the streets, waving flags and cheering as the team bus travelled through the city to their designated hotel, Landmark Towers. In a heartwarming display, school and college students, seen lining the streets, eagerly waved to the Bangladeshi cricketers, giving them a grand welcome to the city.  
  The Bangladesh cricket team's official Twitter handle, posted an image on X, capturing the festive atmosphere. Fans from both India and Bangladesh were seen celebrating the arrival of the teams, a testimony to the camaraderie and passion that cricket invokes on both sides of the border. As per their schedule, the Bangladesh and Indian teams will head to the Green Park Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday for net practice sessions and to acclimatize to the conditions. The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA), the local hosts, has made special arrangements for the match, including inviting around 2,000 school students each day to watch the Test match, adding to the excitement in the stands. ### **Indian Team's Arrival and Traditional Welcome** The Indian cricket team, captained by Rohit Sharma, also arrived in Kanpur around the same time. Accompanied by star players Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and head coach Gautam Gambhir, the team was given a traditional Indian welcome at their hotel, where flowers, local delicacies, and cultural performances greeted them upon arrival. With India leading the series 1-0 after a commanding 280-run win in the first Test in Chennai, the team will be looking to close out the series with a win at their favored venue in Kanpur.
