Pakistan Cricket Board announces three-match series against England starting October 7 Test Series The team has announced a 15-member squad for the first match of the 2018 T20I series. Shan Masood, who performed poorly as captain in Tests, will lead the team. Some time ago, there were reports that Masood could be removed from the post of captain. Masood has captained in 5 Test matches so far and faced defeat in all of them.

Left-arm spinner Noman Ali has been included in the team. Whereas young players like Kamran Ghulam and Mohammad Ali have been dropped. Both these players were part of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh.

PCB said in its statement, “Kamran Ghulam and Mohammad Ali, who were part of the squad for the Bangladesh Tests, remain firmly in the selectors' planning. However, due to the emphasis on stability and consistency in the selection policy and the belief that 15 players are enough for a Test, they have been advised and encouraged to represent their teams in the Champions One-Day Cup and Presidents Cup, starting on October 3, to ensure that they remain match-ready through competitive cricket.

The first Test between Pakistan and England will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium from 7 to 11 October. The second Test match will be played in Multan from 15 October to 19 October. The third Test match of the series will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 24 October to 28 October. The last time Pakistan faced England at home, they had to face a clean sweep of 3-0.
