Delhi: The first match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh was played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, in which India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs and took a 1-0 lead. Ravindra Jadeja will be the third Indian to achieve this feat. Before him, Kapil Dev and Ravi Ashwin have achieved this feat. Kapil had taken 434 wickets and scored 5248 runs in Tests, while Ashwin has 522 wickets and 3422 runs to his name.

Jadeja's performance in the first test was excellent. He scored 86 runs in the first innings and took 5 wickets in bowling (2 in the first innings, 3 in the second).
