Duleep Trophy 2024: Four Players who have bolstered their India Selection Chances

India A secured a fantastic victory over India C in the final match of the Duleep Trophy 2024 to win the title on Sunday (September 22).
  Despite losing the first match, India A, led by Mayank Agarwal has lifted the trophy for this year. The domestic tournament was played in a round-robin format, and India A was crowned champions as they finished with 12 points in three matches, 3 points more than the 2nd-placed India C. Across the matches this season, a number of excellent performances have been on display. Some of the India team regulars played in the first round of fixtures, whereas many other probables have scored and picked up wickets during the latter two rounds. Although India have already confirmed their squad for the 2nd Test against Bangladesh, the upcoming series against New Zealand and then the subsequent tour of Australia means opportunity can arrive for some of the compelling contenders. And after the Duleep Trophy, a few of the contenders will be in selectors' minds as they pick up the squad for the New Zealand and Australia series. Abhimanyu Easwaran Abhimanyu Easwaran has again shown his class with yet another fantastic Duleep Trophy season. Leading the India B, the Bengal batter has scored 309 runs across five innings. He scored two centuries in the tournament, both of which came in the last two matches. The 29-year-old batter looked in terrific touch in the tournament and will be in contention in the upcoming team selections. Mukesh Kumar Mukesh Kumar also showcased his class in the Duleep Trophy with 16 wickets in three matches. The Bengal pacer has had a superb outing in the tournament and will be in contention for the India team for the upcoming series, especially in the Australia tour. The 30-year-old is someone who has excellent ability and can be a potent weapon for India down under. Ricky Bhui Andhra Pradesh's Ricky Bhui has had an excellent outing with India D in the series. The 27-year-old scored 359 runs in the tournament with 2 centuries and a fifty. Bhui batted at no. 3 in the Duleep Trophy and can be in the selectors' thoughts for the upcoming Test series. Sanju Samson A brilliant batting from Sanju Samson across two Duleep Trophy matches have put him at the forefront of India's Test team selection. Samson played a brilliant knock of 106 runs against India B. He backed that up with another decent 45 in the second innings. With the form of KL Rahul under scrutiny, Samson can be considered for an India call-up in the upcoming Test series.
