Delhi: Star Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who made a brilliant comeback in Tests with a century against Bangladesh, said that he feels most comfortable in red-ball cricket. Pant made his comeback memorable by scoring 109 runs on the third day of the first match of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. In December 2022, Pant suffered a serious car accident and now this was his first Test match after recovering from it.

Thanks to the centuries of Pant and Shubman Gill (119*) India declared the second innings at 287 for 4, giving Bangladesh a huge target of 515 runs. Bangladesh's team collapsed for 234 runs in the second innings, giving India a huge victory of 280 runs.

After the match, Pant said, “This century is special for me because I love playing in Chennai. After the injury, I wanted to play in all three formats, and this was my first Test. I hope to perform even better in the future.”

He further said, “I wanted to score runs in every match, but it was not possible. However, I feel most comfortable in Test cricket and I get the most happiness by being on the field.”
