Rohit Sharma: Team India's Test and ODI cricket captain Rohit Sharma has decided to retire from international T20 cricket after the T20 World Cup 2024. After retiring from international T20 cricket, Rohit Sharma is currently captaining the Indian team in the Test series against Bangladesh for Team India.

In the press conference held before the Test series, Rohit Sharma talked about his recent retirement from T20 cricket. After which various headlines are being made in the media. In some of these headlines, it is also being claimed that Rohit Sharma can make a comeback from his retirement from T20 cricket.

During the press conference of captain Rohit Sharma before the first match of the Test series, when he was questioned about his retirement from T20 cricket, he said that-

“These days retirement has become a joke in world cricket. Players retire and come back to play but this has not happened in India till now but I am considering my decision of retirement from T20 cricket as final and this was the best time to leave this format”

Before the start of the Bangladesh Test series, Rohit Sharma revealed that he likes playing T20 cricket a lot but despite that, Rohit Sharma will not take a U-turn from his decision of retirement from T20 International cricket. After which it is believed that Rohit Sharma will now be seen playing T20 cricket only in IPL.

Captain Rohit Sharma could not do anything special as a batsman in the first innings of the first match against Bangladesh and returned to the pavilion on a score of 6 runs.
