Sanju Samson completed his hundred for India D on day 2 of the Duleep Trophy 2024 match. The right-handed batter was batting on 101 off 95 balls, laced with 11 fours and 2 sixes against India B.

Samson, who has been out of form, finally showed his class in the red-ball tournament. It was the 11th hundred of his first-class career. Sanju has amassed over 3600 runs in FC cricket.

He was last seen in action for India in the T20I series against Sri Lanka, registering two consecutive ducks.

Prior to that, he was a part of Team India’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 but didn’t get a game.

In the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, Sanju was given three games. He amassed 12 not out and 58 in two contests, while the renowned batter didn’t get a chance to bat in one. With his latest hundred, he could return to the Indian side for the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.

However, he will not considered for the Test and ODI sides due to competition for places and the presence of better players than him.
