The first wicket fell in the 6th over when Indian captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed after scoring just 6 runs off 19 balls. Mahmud bowled a superb length ball which deflected off Rohit's bat and went to Nazmul Hossain Shanto at second slip. This crucial wicket brought India to 14/1.

Shubman Gill, who came in to bat at number three, was soon out. Mahmood attacked again, and Gill, who scored no runs off 8 balls, tried to flick the ball on leg, but the ball took the edge and went into the hands of Liton Das behind the stumps. Thus India found themselves in trouble at 28/2.

Virat Kohli, who came to handle the innings, could not stand in front of Mahmood's sharp bowling. In the 10th over, Mahmood bowled a ball which forced Kohli to drive, but the ball went into the hands of Liton Das. Kohli scored 6 runs off 6 balls, taking India to 34/3 in the first 10 overs.

India will have to return

With the return of India's key batsmen to the pavilion, Team India is struggling to recover from this poor start against the consistent bowling attack of Bangladesh led by Hasan Mahmud.
