Fatima was replaced on the field by fast bowler Tasmia Rubab, while after her departure, the team's vice-captain Muniba Ali took over the captaincy. South Africa lost with wickets in hand

South Africa, which came out to chase the highest score made by Pakistan, did not have a good start either. They lost their first wicket for just 12 runs. After this, a half-century partnership was seen for the second wicket. However, the third and fourth wickets fell quickly.
