These days the Champions One Day Cup tournament is being played in Pakistan. Latif has shared a photo of a batsman on social media and raised the question whether the players have not received new helmets for the tournament.

In the third match of this tournament being played in Faisalabad, Panthers and Dolphins clashed. When Dolphins were batting, the picture of the team's batsman Asif Ali came on the screen. Asif was sitting in the dugout at that time and was waiting for his innings. Asif was fully prepared for batting and he was also wearing his helmet which was red in color like the team's jersey. While the rest of the people did not pay attention to his helmet, former captain and veteran wicketkeeper Rashid Latif told everyone about its special feature.

Why did we have to put cloth on the helmet?

Rashid Latif posted that picture of Asif Ali on the social media platform 'X' during the match. Along with his post, he raised the question that despite such an expensive tournament, are there no new helmets for the players? Latif wrote - "New expensive tournament but new helmets are not available for the batsmen. Asif Ali and other players are using red cloth." Actually, Asif Ali had wrapped a red cloth on his old helmet so that it matches the team jersey. Also, the Dolphins team logo was also printed on it.

Did you really not get new helmets?

Now the question is, are the players really not getting new helmets matching the colour of the team jersey? Or was this the condition of only the players of the Dolphins team?
