Delhi : Team India reached Chennai on Friday, where the first match of the Test series will be played between India and Bangladesh from September 19. The team captained by Rohit Sharma has also started its practice. BCCI has posted some pictures on X, in which former South African bowler Morne Morkel is also seen. Morkel has recently been appointed as the new bowling coach of Team India and his presence will benefit the bowlers a lot. Interestingly, Morkel has been the coach of Pakistan.

Morkel has recently been appointed the bowling coach of Team India and he will work closely with head coach Gautam Gambhir. Fast bowlers can benefit from Morkel's experienced and deadly bowling. His presence can give Team India a significant advantage against Bangladesh. Morkel will also prove to be important for India's young bowlers, especially this will be a good opportunity for Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep and Yash Dayal.
