Archie Vaughan, son of England's legendary cricketer Michael Vaughan, has wreaked havoc with the ball in the County Championship. Archie, playing for Somerset, gave his team a spectacular victory by taking 11 wickets against Surrey. He achieved the feat of taking 5 wickets in both innings of the match. Archie, just 18 years old, took 6 wickets in the first innings and also took 5 wickets in the second innings. During this, he did not give a chance to 3 batsmen including Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan to open their account. Not only this, Archie also scored a total of 47 runs in both the innings, in which 44 was his highest score. Archie has done this feat in the second first class match of his career.

Archie and Leach took 5-5 wickets

Somerset scored 317 runs in the first innings. Michael Vaughan's son Archie contributed 44 runs in this. In response, Surrey's team scored 321 runs in their first innings. In this innings, he could not do anything special with the bat and was out after scoring only 3 runs. However, he forced the Surrey batsmen to kneel by trapping them in his spin. He started hunting along with Jack Leach and did not stop till they were all out. Both took 5-5 wickets in the second innings.

Somerset collapsed for 109 runs

In the second innings too, Michael Vaughan's son dismissed Surrey captain and opener Rory Burns on a score of 31 and gave the team its first success. Half of Somerset's team, chasing a score of 222 runs, went back to the pavilion on just 96 runs.

Somerset was now struggling to save its honour but failed in doing so. In the next 13 runs, both the bowlers together dismissed the remaining 5 batsmen. In this way, the entire team collapsed for just 109 runs and Somerset won the match by 112 runs. Archie dismissed Cameron Steele for zero in both the innings.
