Yuzvendra Chahal delighted after 5-wicket haul for Northants in landmark match

Yuzvendra Chahal was delighted after he picked up a five-wicket haul for Northamptonshire in their County Championship Division 2 match against Derbyshire at the County Ground in Northampton.
The leg-spinner finished with figures of 16.3-2-45-5 and helped the Northants bowl their opponents out for 165 in 61.3 overs. After getting bowled out for 188 in their first innings, the Steelbacks racked up a crucial lead of 23 runs on the back of the stupendous spell from Chahal. The tweaker also achieved a major milestone in his career, completing 100 wickets in first-class cricket. Chahal got to the landmark in only his 38th first-class match since his debut back in 2009. He got the wickets of Wayne Madsen, Aneurin Donald, Zak Chappell, Alex Thomson, and Jack Morley. After his dream spell, Chahal posted a picture where he can be seen showing off the ball with his teammates clapping behind. He took to 'X' and wrote, "Nothing like the red cherry".  
  He also played against Gloucestershire and Middlesex, picking up only a solitary wicket. Prior to that, Chahal also accounted for a five-wicket haul against Kent at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury in white-ball cricket. Chahal hasn't had luck going his way in recent times. He was a part of the Indian squad that won the T20 World Cup in the United States and West Indies. After playing in the warm-up match against Bangladesh, Chahal did not play a single game. India preferred Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav as their spin-bowling options. After the disappointment of warming the bench in the mega event, Chahal has come out firing on all cylinders.
