England announce Ben Stokes-led 16-member squad for upcoming Pakistan Test series
England have announced the 16-member squad for the upcoming three-Test tour of Pakistan which starts next month. The ECB has included eight players from the 2022 tour when England won the series 3-0.
The eight players include skipper Ben Stokes who is coming back to the side after missing recent Sri Lanka Test series at home with injury. England won the three-Test series 2-1.
Other players who are included from the 2022 tour are: Rehan Ahmed, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope and Joe Root.
England have also included pacer Josh Hull who made his debut in the Oval Test against Sri Lanka and took three wickets. The Three Lions have also included two uncapped players in Jordan Cox and Brydon Carse.
Spinner Jack Leach also made a comeback in the Test side for the first time since getting injured in the opening Test of India Test series earlier this year. He has been picked with Shoaib Bashir - England's first-choice spinner at home - and leggie Rehan Ahmed.

Entire series to be played in Pakistan
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has all but confirmed that the upcoming three-Test home series England will be played entirely in the country. The development was confirmed by PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi's spokesperson Mohammad Rafiullah
The news of series going to be held in Pakistan comes amid the reports of PCB thinking to move Karachi Test (second one) to outside the country. It is because of the ongoing renovation work at multiple venues, including Karachi, for the ICC Champions Trophy. Pakistan are scheduled to the ICC tournament in February-March next year.
