Ben Stokes did not play the Test series against Sri Lanka due to injury. Jack Crowley has also returned to the English team. On the other hand, Tom Hartley and Dan Lawrence have been dropped from the team. Dan Lawrence has 17 centuries in first class cricket but after poor performance in international cricket, he was dropped from the Test team. 2 uncapped players have also been selected in the England team.
