The decision on Rutherford's withdrawal was announced on Sunday, following which the CPL organisers also added that his replacement will be announced soon.
Notably, Rutherford's decision to pull out of the tournament comes, citing personal reasons, he has so far featured in only four games for the franchise, scoring 35 runs at a strike rate of 194.44.
'Sherfane Rutherford is leaving St Kitts and Nevis Patriots squad due to personal reasons and will take no further part in the 2024 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL),' the statement from CPL read.
They also added that 'a replacement for Rutherford will be announced in due course.'
