The performance of many big players of Team India in Duleep Trophy has been disappointing but the good thing is that some unknown players have also emerged who have proved their talent on the big stage. One such player is left-arm spinner Manav Suthar who bowled brilliantly against India D and took 7 wickets alone. India D batsmen could not stand much in front of Manav Suthar's spin. India D scored 236 runs in the second innings against India C and Manav Suthar caused the most damage to this team. Manav Suthar took 7 wickets for 49 runs in 19.1 overs. The amazing thing is that he bowled 7 maiden overs during this period. Another interesting thing is that Manav Suthar's father wanted to make him an explosive batsman but this player became a bowler.
Manav Suthar's cricket lessons began from a cricket coaching club in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Manav's father Jagdish Suthar got him admitted to the academy and told coach Dheeraj Sharma that he wanted to make his son an explosive batsman. But the exact opposite happened. Dheeraj Sharma watched Manav Suthar's game for two days and after that he understood that Manav was made for bowling and not batting. Manav's coach's guess was absolutely correct and today this player has earned a big name in domestic cricket at the age of just 22. Manav Suthar has taken 65 wickets in 14 first class matches so far, which is an amazing performance.
Manav Suthar took a total of 8 wickets against India D in the Duleep Trophy. He took one wicket in the first innings and took 7 wickets in the second innings. Suthar dismissed Srikar Bharat twice in this match. Apart from this, he also took the wickets of big players like Devdutt Padikkal, Ricky Bhui, Axar Patel. Manav Suthar has amazing ability and soon this player can be seen playing Test cricket for Team India. Manav Suthar has also played only one match in the IPL. He was part of the Gujarat Titans team. However, he got a chance to play only one match. It is hoped that this player will get more opportunities, only then cricket experts and fans will be able to get a real idea of the talent of this player.
