When the Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh started, no one had thought that its outcome would be as it has been. Hardly anyone would have thought that Bangladesh, which had never won a Test against Pakistan before, would win the entire series, that too on Pakistani soil. But, this is exactly what happened. The 2 Test series which started on 21st August was completely in Bangladesh's bag after reaching its final stage on 3rd September. Bangladesh created history by defeating Pakistan 2-0 in the Test series played in its own home.

Bangladesh clean sweeps the Test series

Both the matches of the Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh were played in Rawalpindi. After defeating Pakistan by 10 wickets in the first Test, Bangladesh won the second Test by 6 wickets. Pakistan, which made the mistake of not playing a single spinner in the first Test, came into the second Test fully prepared with some changes in the team. But, it did not help much. Bangladesh played better than Pakistan in all three departments and clean swept the Test series.

Won the second test by chasing the target of 185 runs

In the second Test played in Rawalpindi, Pakistan had given Bangladesh a target of 185 runs to win. Considering the performance of Bangladesh batsmen in the series, this target was not very difficult. Especially when there were 10 wickets in hand and a full day of play left to chase it in the match. Bangladesh took full advantage of all these things and wrote the story of its victory on the last day of the second Test.

This is how the second Pakistan-Bangladesh test went

Earlier in the second Test, Pakistan batted first and scored 274 runs in the first innings. Mehdi Hasan took 5 wickets for Bangladesh in the first innings. Taskin Ahmed was the second most successful bowler with 3 wickets. In reply, Bangladesh scored 262 runs in their first innings. Khurram Shahzad was the most successful bowler for Pakistan in the first innings, taking 6 wickets.

Pakistan could score only 172 runs in the second innings after taking a lead of 14 runs in the first innings. This time the fast bowlers of Bangladesh did not let them cross the 200 run barrier. This was the first time when all 10 wickets in an innings of Test cricket were taken by the fast bowlers of Bangladesh together. In the second innings, Hasan Mahmud took 5 wickets, Naved Rana took 4 wickets and Taskin Ahmed took 1 wicket for Bangladesh.

Pakistan lost the series and this happened to Shan Masood

After the bowlers, the responsibility of finishing the match for Bangladesh was on the batsmen, in which they proved themselves. The result of this is that for the first time against Pakistan, Bangladesh has achieved the feat of winning not only a Test match but also the entire Test series. Due to this feat, the wait for the first Test win in the horoscope of the Pakistan captain has increased. In fact, including the second Test played in Rawalpindi, the team has lost all the 5 Tests in which Shan Masood has captained Pakistan so far.
