India gets second gold in Paralympics 2024, Nitesh Kumar makes a turn in badminton

India has got its second gold medal in Paris Paralympics 2024. This medal was won by para-badminton player Nitesh Kumar in Men's Singles Badminton SL3. With this, India's total medals in this Paralympics have now become 9. In the final of the Para-Badminton Men's Singles SL3 event, Nitesh Kumar faced Daniel Bethell of Great Britain. There was a tough competition between the two players and in the end Nitesh Kumar managed to win.

Nitesh Kumar won gold in badminton

A tough fight was seen in the gold medal match between Nitesh Kumar and Daniel Bethell of Great Britain.

The first set of the match went to Nitesh Kumar. He won this set 21-14. However, despite a strong performance in the second set, he had to face defeat 18-21. At one time, this set was tied at 16-16, but here Nitesh Kumar fell behind.

After this, he made a strong comeback in the third set and won the match by winning the set 23-21. But he had to work very hard to win this set. Both the players were seen fighting for every point till the end. On some occasions, Daniel Bethell of Great Britain also came ahead, however, Nitesh kept his composure and won the gold medal. This is also Nitesh's first medal in the Paralympics.
