Delhi: Fast bowler Mayank Yadav, who made his debut for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, made a lot of headlines with his speed bowling. However, he had to be out of the tournament due to injury. Now a former South African cricketer has made a big statement about this bowler. He has compared Mayank Yadav to the world's most expensive luxury car 'Rolls Royce'.

Former South African cricketer and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fielding coach Jonty Rhodes called Mayank Yadav the 'Rolls Royce' of the IPL franchise. The fast bowler caught everyone's attention with his fast pace in his debut match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). Mayank bowled consistently at a speed of over 145 kmph and took 3 wickets for 27 runs with a maximum speed of 155.8 km/h. In four matches of IPL 2024, he took four wickets at an economy of 6.99.

However, he suffered an injury against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, due to which he had to leave the field. He had to deal with a side strain injury.

Jonty Rhodes told IANS, “I am not the bowling coach, but Morne Morkel had said that Mayank Yadav is fantastic, like we used to call Allan Donald the Rolls Royce, Mayank is the Rolls Royce of LSG.”
