Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, established in 1969 and named after Sawai Man Singh II, the former Maharaja of the state of Jaipur, will host a few matches during the seventeenth edition of the Indian Premier League - IPL 2024, which starts from Friday (March 22).

Sawai Mansingh Stadium, which underwent a major renovation in 2006, has served as home venues to Rajasthan state teams, the Indian cricket team and since 2008, when Indian Premier League (IPL) started as a home to the Rajasthan Royals.   The venue in Jaipur will play hosts to at least seven home games of the inaugral champions Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming campaign of IPL.
