Delhi: The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is to be held in Pakistan, but it is not yet clear whether Team India will visit Pakistan for this tournament or not. Recently, former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif had said that India's visit to Pakistan is 50 percent certain, but now his fellow countryman former spinner Danish Kaneria has expressed concern about security and said that the Indian team should not go to Pakistan.

43-year-old Danish Kaneria, while talking to 'Sports Tak', clearly said that the Indian team should not tour Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. He said, “Looking at the current situation in Pakistan, I would say that the Indian team should not go there.”

The former leg-spinner further said, “Pakistan should consider it, then the ICC will decide it and possibly it will be played under the hybrid model, in which the matches can be held in Dubai.”

He also said, “The safety of the players should be the top priority, after that comes respect. BCCI is doing a great job in this matter and I think all the countries will respect their final decision.”

Will the Indian team tour Pakistan?

It is worth noting that till now no final decision has been taken regarding Team India's tour of Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy.
