Babar Azam has been struggling for a long time in international cricket. However, his fans still compare him with legendary batter Virat Kohli.
Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria said that people should stop comparing Babar with Virat.
“Who is playing this comparison game? I am tired of these comparisons. Look at the runs Virat Kohli has scored across the globe. He is a big player,” Kaneria said on Sports Tak.
Kaneria added that Kohli is far ahead of Babar, and the media credit the debates around the two.
“Virat Kohli is a legend, and when he walks out to bat, his aura is on a different level. Babar is not even close to Virat forget about comparing the two. Channels for the TRP purpose create all this hype. I never entertained questions on the comparison of the two. Look at the numbers. When they both retire from international cricket, you can check their stats,” he added.
Danish is also not in favor of India playing the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. “The situation is bad in Pakistan, and I don’t want India to come here for the Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament will be played in a hybrid model for sure. The media gets hype, but in reality, it will be a hybrid model,” he concluded.
