History was created in the debut match

Just 17 years old archer Sheetal Devi created history in her debut match of Paralympics. Sheetal Devi, the world's first armless archer, scored 703 points during the ranking round of archery and broke the world record. Sheetal scored 703 out of 720 points. With this, she became the first Indian woman archer to score 700 points. However, shortly after, Turkey's Oznur Girdi Kure broke Sheetal's record with 704 points.

Sheetal Devi is a resident of Kishtwar, a small village in Jammu and Kashmir. 7-year-old Sheetal has been born without two hands. She is born with a disease called phocomelia. Everyone is amazed to see her art. Sheetal Devi is also the world's first and only active female archer to compete without hands.
