In such a situation, the selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board has recalled those 3 players in the squad for the second Test match, who were released before the last Test match. The Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Wednesday, August 28, that spinner Abrar Ahmed, batsman Kamran Ghulam and fast bowler Aamir Jamal will be part of the squad for the second Test. The second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played in Rawalpindi itself, which will start from August 30.

Pakistan was defeated by Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the first Test match. This was Bangladesh's first win over Pakistan in Test cricket. The biggest shock for Pakistan was that it had to face such a crushing defeat on its own ground. A major reason for this was the Pakistani bowling, against which Bangladesh scored 565 runs.
