Australia Women's T20 World Cup 2024 Squad: Australia has announced the squad for the women's T20 World Cup to be held in UAE in October T20 World Cup has announced its 15-member team for 2024. Experienced spinner Jess Jonassen, who has 96 wickets in this format, has not been included in the team. In her place, the selectors have given a chance to fast bowler Tayla Vlaminck. At the same time, Darcy Brown, who has recovered from injury, has also got a place in the team.
Jonassen did not get a chance to play in the Bangladesh tour earlier this year. This is the first time that he did not get a chance in the World Cup team despite being available for selection.
Sophie Molineux and Grace Harris have also returned to the team after recovering from injury. While Phoebe Litchfield will be seen playing her first World Cup.
The same team selected for the World Cup will play the three-match T20 International series against New Zealand next month, except all-rounder Heather Graham. She will not travel with the team to the UAE.
Australia is part of Group A, which also includes India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka women's team. Australia will play its first match against Sri Lanka on October 4.
