Yuzvendra Chahal Reacts on Kolkata Rape-Murder Case on Social Media; Deletes Post LATER

A couple of weeks after the Kolkata rape-murder of a young doctor at RG Kar hospital shook the nation, India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal reacted on the snowballing issue.
Reacting strongly, Chahal called for extreme punishment for the perpetrators. As per Chahal, the perpetrators should be hanged till death. "Hang till death? Nope. Break their legs at 90°, shatter their collarbones, injure their private parts keep the rapists alive to feel all the horrifying torture and THEN HANG TILL DEATH." The post quickly drew attention, reflecting the intense emotions surrounding the case. And then, Chahal quickly deleted the Instagram story from his profile.   Here is a screenshot of Chahal's deleted post: Chahal is not the only cricketer who has been vocal about the incident. Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah have also reacted strongly on this grave incident. What's up With Chahal? Chahal was recently part of India's triumphant T20 World Cup squad. He did not get to play a game in the marquee event. Following that, Chahal has not been picked for the national side. Chahal will soon be seen featuring in the English County Division 2 for Northamptonshire. He would be hopeful that he gets picked for the series against Bangladesh. The Indian leg-spinner was also spotted in the streets of London with Ashish Nehra and Indian anchor Gaurav Kapoor. Kolkata Rape-Murder Update The Supreme Court is scheduled to resume hearing pleas at around today, in connection with the rape and murder case, of the 31-year-old trainee doctor who was found dead at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Furthermore, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will also be submitting its status report on the case after the apex court's order on August 20. As per reports, this report will be presented to Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud in a sealed cover. The top court criticised the Mamata Banerjee government for mishandling the case and also asked it to submit a report on the mob that vandalised the hospital while an investigation was underway.
