Yuzvendra Chahal took to social media to share a strong message amid the ongoing uproar after the rape and murder of one of the doctors in Kolkata. He suggested that the rapists should get brutal punishment.

A 31-year-old trainee doctor was raped and murdered at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata on August 9. The incident has led to protests.

“Hang till death? Nope. Break their legs at 90°, shatter their collarbones, injure their private parts, keep the rapists alive to feel all the horrifying torture and THEN HANG TILL DEATH,” Yuzvendra Chahal wrote.

Jasprit Bumrah, Harbhajan Singh and several other cricketers have reacted to the incident.a

“Don’t tell women to change their path – change the terrain. Every woman deserves better,” Jasprit Bumrah wrote.

Yuzvendra Chahal was a part of India’s ICC T20 World Cup winning team. However, he was benched.

He was not considered for the T20I series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
