Pakistani stadium is not suitable for international cricket, PCB boss himself exposed his country

Pakistan is to host the Champions Trophy 2025 in February-March next year, about which many questions are already being raised. There are questions about whether Team India will play or not and there is also a possibility that the tournament may be organized on a hybrid model. Still, Pakistan is busy preparing for it. Meanwhile, the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has exposed the cricket stadiums of his country and said that the stadiums of Pakistan are not worthy of hosting international cricket.

These days, work is going on in the most popular and prominent stadiums of Pakistan like Lahore and Karachi for the Champions Trophy. PCB is busy preparing them before the tournament, on which crores of rupees are being spent. The main reason for this is the poor condition of Pakistani stadiums, about which fans and media have raised questions many times before and now PCB President Mohsin Naqvi himself has accepted this.

1980s PAK Stadium

Mohsin Naqvi, who had come to review the work going on at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, openly expressed his disappointment while talking to the Pakistani media. He said that the condition of Pakistan's stadiums is still that of the 1980s and if someone wants to live in that era, then the stadiums will look fine but they do not match with today's times. He mentioned the lack of good seats, toilets and other facilities in the stadiums and said that Pakistani stadiums do not stand in front of the big modern stadiums of the world. Naqvi stressed that that is why a large part of many stadiums is being rebuilt so that they are ready for the Champions Trophy.

Venue had to be changed

However, Pakistan is also facing embarrassment due to construction work in the stadium. The latest example of this is the Test series against Bangladesh, which is to start from August 21. There is a lot of uproar regarding the second Test match of this series. Earlier, the PCB had decided to allow spectators to enter for this match, but then citing construction work, it banned the entry of spectators and announced to play it without spectators. Now, keeping in mind the safety of the players and workers, the board has announced to shift the match from Karachi. This match will now be played in Rawalpindi, where the first Test match is to be played.
