Ishan Kishan: Ishan Kishan, the wicketkeeper batsman of Mumbai Indians, which won the IPL title five times under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in the Indian Premier League, has been out of Team India for a long time. Ishan Kishan was dropped from Team India due to indiscipline and along with this he was removed from the central contract by the BCCI.
When the wicketkeeper batsman of the Indian cricket team suddenly decided to leave Team India from the South Africa tour and return, the then head coach of Team India, Rahul Dravid, advised Ishan to play Ranji, which Ishan ignored.
After this, the BCCI also dropped him from the team and also removed him from the central contract. However, Team India's head coach Gautam Gambhir may give Ishan Kishan a chance in the ODI series against West Indies in the year 2026.In the ODI series to be played between India and West Indies, Team India's two explosive left-handed openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Abhishek Sharma may get their debut in Team India. Both these players have not got a chance in ODI cricket for Team India so far.
Abhishek Sharma has played only T20I matches for Team India and Jaiswal has played Test and ODI matches for Team India.Team India's head coach Gautam Gambhir can give these two players a chance to Team India keeping in mind the 2027 ODI World Cup. Because if Team India captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announce their retirement from the ODI World Cup, then two players should be ready to fill the place of these two players.
