The BCCI management had announced long ago that now players who perform well in domestic cricket will be selected for Team India. The BCCI management has also tightened its grip on players who do not participate in domestic cricket.

The BCCI management has now announced the players for the Duleep Trophy, the first domestic tournament of the season, and 61 players have been selected by the management for this. These 61 players have been divided into 4 teams and all these players will be seen playing against each other from September 5.

The BCCI management has intensified its preparations keeping in mind the Duleep Trophy 2024 and along with this, they have also announced the players.

The management has announced 4 teams for this tournament and has also appointed 4 captains in all the teams for this. But the BCCI management has not handed over the captaincy of any of these teams to KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Both these players will now be seen playing as a common player in the Duleep Trophy 2024.

BCCI gave big responsibility to young players

Many young players have been given responsibility in the team announced by the BCCI management for the Duleep Trophy 2024.

For the team selected for the Duleep Trophy, the BCCI management has handed over the captaincy of India A to Shubman Gill, captaincy of India B to Abhimanyu Easwaran, captaincy of India C to Rituraj Gaikwad and captaincy of India D to Shreyas Iyer. If media reports are to be believed, all these players can be seen captaining Team India in the coming time by the BCCI management.
