Due to the Awami League government, the people there had to suffer a lot. At the same time, due to this, Bangladesh is also seen losing the hosting of the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. But BCB does not want to lose the hosting of this big tournament under any circumstances, due to which it has also decided to go to the United Nations.

Bangladesh made a move to save the hosting of T20 World Cup 2024

Seeing the situation in Bangladesh, many countries participating in the tournament have banned their citizens from travelling there. These include countries like Australia, India and New Zealand.

Bangladesh can now go to the United Nations to retain the hosting rights. Asif Mahmood, sports adviser to the interim government of Bangladesh, said that he will discuss in the UN about those countries which have banned their citizens from travelling to Bangladesh.

The ICC has informed the countries participating in the tournament about the situation in Bangladesh. The ICC is keeping an eye on the situation and will also consider the option of shifting the tournament.

ESPNcricinfo has learned that the BCB is considering the travel ban as the biggest threat to hosting the tournament. The decision to lift the ban can be taken by the government. The cricket board cannot help in any way in this.

Asif Mohammad also admitted that there are some issues to security and infrastructure in Bangladesh. He said that he will discuss this matter with interim government advisor Professor Yunus, who is a sports lover. Hopefully he will solve this issue.
