Whenever a bid is placed on a player in the IPL auction, the franchise spends money depending on his ability. However, there are some players who have a lot of talent but they are not sold for the expected amount.
We have many examples of players who were included in the team by the franchise by paying a huge amount but they could not perform as expected. The biggest example of this is Mitchell Starc. However, now there is a player who plays for his franchise for just Rs 80 lakh but if he goes to the auction, he can get a huge amount.
Star batsman Rinku Singh, who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL, gets 80 lakh rupees for playing in one season. Although, his performance has been many times better than this but he gets only this much money.
Rinku is known for hitting big shots in the last overs and he has won many matches for Kolkata with his batting. This player should get more money according to his performance but he plays for KKR for only 80 lakh rupees.
If Kolkata does not increase Rinku's fees, he may decide to go to the auction. If Singh takes this decision, all the IPL franchises will try their best to include him in their camp and crores of rupees will be bid for him.
Rinku is a player who hits big shots in the last overs and can also handle the innings if needed. In such a situation, all teams would like to add such a player to their team and it should not be a surprise if he becomes the most expensive player in the history of IPL auction.
Rinku has performed brilliantly in the IPL so far and has given some amazing victories to Kolkata. Everyone remembers the 5 sixes he hit in the last over against Gujarat Titans.
The left-handed batsman has played a total of 45 matches in the IPL so far, in which he has scored 893 runs at an average of 30.79 and a strike rate of 143.34. During this period, a total of 4 half-centuries have come from his bat.
