India's journey in the Paris Olympics is over. In this mega sports event which ran from 26 July to 11 August, 117 athletes from India participated in 16 sports. During this time, many Indian athletes finished fourth and missed out on medals. This includes many big names like PV Sindhu, Mirabai Chanu, Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain. On the other hand, Vinesh Phogat unfortunately could not win a medal. On the other hand, Neeraj Chopra, Manu Bhaker, Swapnil Kusale, Sarabjot Singh, Aman Sehrawat and the Indian hockey team together won 6 medals and hoisted the flag of India in Paris.

Only then our country could win 6 medals. That means India had to spend around Rs 78.33 crore for one medal. If we talk about different sports, then the highest expenditure among the 16 sports was made on athletics.
A total of Rs 96.08 crore was released for different sports of athletics, in which only Neeraj Chopra was successful in winning silver. After this, the highest expenditure was made on badminton.PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty and HS Prannoy participated in badminton. A total of 72.03 crores were spent on their training. However, no one could win a medal. Boxing is at number three in this case, in which 6 boxers including Lovlina Borgohain and Nikhat Zarin participated. 60.93 crores were spent on their training.

India won a total of 6 medals in the Paris Olympics, out of which 4 were individual and 2 were team events.
The highest amount of Rs 5.72 crore was spent on the training of India's star athlete and silver medal winner Neeraj Chopra. Rs 1.68 crore was spent on Manu Bhaker who won bronze in shooting and Rs 1.46 crore was spent on the training of Sarabjot Singh who supported her in the team event. Swapnil Kusale, who won bronze in shooting, was given assistance of about Rs 1.6 crore. Among the medal winners, the least amount (72.41 lakh) was spent on 22-year-old Aman Sehrawat.Many Indian athletes remained just a few steps away from the medal. Many big names were included in this. The least amount of money was spent on Vinesh Phogat, 70.45 lakhs. The maximum amount was spent on the pair of Satwiksairaj and Chirag Shetty. 5.62 crores were given for their training under different schemes. 3.13 crores were spent for PV Sindhu, 2.74 crores on Mirabai Chanu, 2.41 crores on Anish Bhanwala, 1.56 crores on Rohan Bopanna, 1.3 crores on Manika Batra.
