Bangladesh cricket team took a big decision amidst the riots, took help from Pakistan, players will leave the country soon

A two-match Test series is to be played between Pakistan and Bangladesh teams from 21 August. But there has been an atmosphere of tension in Bangladesh for the last several days and the violence is still continuing. Due to which the Bangladesh Cricket Board has not announced the team yet. But the Bangladesh Cricket Board has taken a big decision for its players in view of this series. After this decision, the players of the Bangladesh team are going to fly to Pakistan soon.

Bangladesh team's schedule changed

The Bangladesh cricket team will now leave for Pakistan on August 13 to prepare for the two-match Test series starting in Rawalpindi from August 21. Let us tell you, the Bangladesh Cricket Board has changed this schedule. Earlier the team was going to leave for Pakistan 5 days from this date. The Pakistan Cricket Board had offered to host Bangladesh for some time by providing all the necessary training facilities in Rawalpindi due to the ongoing civil unrest in Bangladesh, which the Bangladesh Cricket Board has accepted.

Important series in view of the World Test Championship

Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in two Test matches which are part of the World Test Championship. The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi between August 21 and 25 while the second match will be played in Karachi between August 30 and September 3. The PCB has confirmed that the Bangladesh team will train at the Gaddafi Stadium from August 14 to 16, then move to Islamabad on August 17, where practice sessions will be held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 18 to 20. This will be Bangladesh's first tour of Pakistan since 2020. On the last tour, they played three T20s in Lahore and a single Test in Rawalpindi.

PCB Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer said, 'Sports is not just about winning and losing, it is also a game of brotherhood. I am confident that more training sessions in Lahore will give the players a chance to showcase their best skills and talent on the big stage. We are happy that BCB has accepted our proposal and we are looking forward to welcoming the Bangladesh men's cricket team in Lahore on August 13.
