Rohit Sharma's men will also play a four-day intra-squad match at WACA in Perth from November 15 to 18. The five-Test series will start from the first Test in Perth (Optus) from November 22 to 26.
During India's last tour of Australia in 2020-21, the four-series started with the day-night pink-ball Test in Adelaide which India lost by eight wickets after registering their lowest Test score of 36 all-out in the second innings.
However, an Ajinkya Rahane-led India bounced back heroically to win the series 2-1.
India handed Australia their first Test defeat in Brisbane in 32 years in the final match of the series. Virat Kohli has returned to India after the defeat in the pink-ball Test to attend the birth of his first child.
The day-night warm-up match before the pink-ball Test has been planted between the first and second Test to give India a good opportunity to get used to the conditions to face the pink-ball under floodlights in Australia.
It will be India's fifth pink ball Test and first since 2022 when they faced Sri Lanka in Bengaluru.
An India A squad will also tour Australia from late October and play two four-day matches in Mackay and Melbourne. It would be interesting to see if a few senior members feature in the squad. Notably, India are also scheduled to play a three-Test series against New Zealand at home in October-November.
