The political upheaval in India's neighboring country Bangladesh has shocked the whole world. For the past several weeks, there has been a violent protest in the country, especially in the capital Dhaka, regarding reservation, in which more than 100 people have died in clashes with security forces. This protest had already made the situation delicate and now suddenly the situation in the country has become like a coup. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has suddenly resigned from her post and has also left the country. While political and diplomatic instability is a tension after the fall of the government, it has also raised questions about the organization of cricket matches in Bangladesh. Questions have started arising especially about the Women's T20 World Cup, which is to be held in Bangladesh in October.

The issue of reservation in government jobs has been hot in Bangladesh for the last several days, against which college students across the country had opened a front. This movement gradually turned violent, in which there was vandalism and arson in many places, especially in the capital Dhaka. After this, there were clashes with the police and many protesters died in the firing. Then the army was brought in to control the situation, but even then the situation did not improve. In such a situation, on Monday 5 August, the army suddenly warned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to resign immediately. Hasina also not only resigned without delay, but also left the country immediately.

Will Bangladesh lose the T20 World Cup?

Now there is political instability in Bangladesh and there is no government there at the moment. The army there has taken the administration of the country in its hands. Pictures of protesters breaking into the Prime Minister's residence in the capital Dhaka and looting are coming. This has raised questions whether Bangladesh will be able to organize the T20 World Cup to be held after two months? The World Cup matches are to be played in the capital Dhaka and Sylhet. 10 teams including India and Bangladesh will participate in the tournament and a total of 23 matches are to be played.

All eyes on ICC

A few days ago, there was a report that the ICC was keeping an eye on the situation and considering the timing of the tournament, it was not too worried at that time but now the situation has changed and the country's Prime Minister has left, while the Bangladeshi Army has taken over the country. In such a situation, will the ICC's stance also change in the changed circumstances, will the tournament be taken back from Bangladesh and organized in some other country? The next few days are going to be very important for this tournament.
