The Pakistan Cricket Board often takes strange decisions, which not only affects its team but also causes loss to it and makes it a laughing stock. Despite this, its shocking decisions do not stop. Especially when it comes to clashing with the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the PCB does not back down even in this, even if it has to face defeat. These days, there is a dispute between the cricket boards of the two countries regarding the Champions Trophy 2025, the decision of which has not come yet. While everyone is waiting to know whether the Indian team will go to Pakistan or not, the Pakistan Cricket Board has not hit the axe on the foot, but has hit the foot with the axe. The PCB is now going to directly compete with the world's biggest T20 league IPL.

PSL will happen along with IPL

After the success of IPL worldwide, PCB also started its T20 tournament Pakistan Super League in 2016. This league has also received good response worldwide and many big players have been seen playing in it. The main reason for this has been the tournament being organized in a different window from IPL. Pakistan has always organized it between January and March, due to which some big players are able to play in it before IPL. This time it is not expected to happen because in the season to be held in 2025, both the leagues will be held simultaneously.

The Pakistani board has indicated in a meeting that the next season of PSL can be held between 10 April and 25 May. That is, the same time when the IPL season is played and the world's top players are present in India. Now if the Pakistani board does this, then it is certain that the big names who play in its league apart from IPL will not be able to play in it. Not only this, there can be a huge decrease in the number of people watching the Pakistani league on TV, which can also affect the earnings from broadcasting rights.

Why is PCB competing?

Now the question is why is the Pakistani board doing this? Actually, the PCB has been forced to do this because this time it has to organize the Champions Trophy at home, which will run from February to March. Just before this tournament, it will also host a triangular series, in which New Zealand and South Africa will participate. In such a situation, it has no other option left, due to which it has to compete with the IPL. Now the question is whether the PCB is able to find another window for this or not?
