West Indies vs South Africa Test: West Indies has announced the team for the two-Test match series against South Africa. Fast bowler Kemar Roach, who has 270 wickets in this format, returned to the team. Roach could not play in the series against England due to a knee injury in the County Championship. Alzarri Joseph has been rested in this series, so wicketkeeper batsman Joshua da Silva has been given the responsibility of vice-captaincy.

Kevin Sinclair, who was part of the England series, is not part of the team as he is suffering from a left hand injury. Sinclair was hit on the hand by a ball from Mark Wood during the Trent Bridge Test.

West Indies head coach Andre Cole said, “We have decided to rest our vice-captain Alzari Joseph for this series. Alzari has had a lot of workload recently, and this break will give him a chance to recover and return to his top performance. Kevin Sinclair is still recovering from injury.”

Jommel Warrican, Justin Greaves and uncapped Brian Charles have been included in the squad for the series.

Jeremiah Lewis, Akeem Jordan, Kirk McKenzie, and Zachary McCaskey, who were part of the West Indies team in the Test series against England, have been shown the way out in the home series.

The first Test between West Indies and South Africa will be played at Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad from August 7. After this, the second Test will be held at Providence Stadium in Guyana, which will start from August 15.
