England pacer Jofra Archer's Instagram story has Royal Challengers Bangalore fans buzzing ahead of the Indian Premier League 2024 season.

Archer, on Sunday 17 February, Archer posted an image from the RCB cafe in Bengaluru. This gave rise to the speculations that Archer might be signed by Bangalore for the IPL 2024 season. Fans took to social media to put out wild theories, but the pacer, known to be active on social media has not refuted the rumours himself. According to reports, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had earlier instructed Jofra Archer to skip IPL 2024 in order to manage the injury-prone pacer's workload in the run-up to the 2024 T20 World Cup. Archer, who was bought by Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2022 IPL for a whopping INR 8 crore, was released by the franchise in 2023 England fast bowler Jofra Archer arrived in India with the Sussex County side in March. The fast bowler even bowled for a Karnataka team against Sussex during a two-day practice match at the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) ground in Alur, near Bengaluru on Friday, March 15. Archer played as a substitute for a Karnataka team, which had a mix of U19, U23 and senior-side players. Jofra Archer arrived in India as part of a 10-day training camp for County Championship side Sussex in Bengaluru. Another English club side, Lancashire, is also in Bengaluru for a training camp ahead of the upcoming County season.
