Australian pacer Mitchell Starc has returned to the No.1 spot in the ICC Men's Test Bowling Rankings with a stellar performance in the third and final game of the World Test Championship against South Africa in Cape Town. The left-arm speedster moved up by a spot with his 9-wicket haul in the match to overtake South Africa's Marco Jansen.

Starc initially rose to the top of the rankings in August, displacing India's Jasprit Bumrah from the No.1 spot. But he was later replaced by Jansen, who took six wickets in the second Test against Australia in Gqeberha. However, the veteran pacer took only three wickets in the second Test to take back the No.1 spot and also set a new personal best rating.

Simon Harmer makes significant gains in Test rankings, as Mitchell Starc takes the No.1 spot

South Africa had another bowler in the top 10, led by Simon Harmer, who made the biggest jump in rankings due to his match-winning performance at Newlands. Harmer took the key role in helping the Proteas to take the series, taking six wickets in the second innings.

This helped catapult Harmer up the rankings to seventh and is just one spot ahead of Kagiso Rabada.

Jansen may have given up his number one spot in the Test bowling rankings but helped himself up the Test all-round rankings. The left-hander has reached a new personal best after hitting a half-century in the third Test.

Wiaan Mulder and Harmer both made jumps in the all-round rankings (one spot to third and three spots to fifth). Aiden Markram also made a one-spot jump to 11th in the Test batting rankings. Mulder has jumped 7 spots to 17th. Ryan Rickelton has made a huge jump of 25 spots to 23rd. This has given him a new personal best.

Australia can be pleased too. Cameron Green has made a three-spot jump to share 19th.

Alex Carey has also made a two-spot jump to join Green.

Justin Greaves had the biggest jump from the West Indies. He helped his side win the first Test in Mirpur by eight wickets. Greaves has jumped 12 spots to share 38th in the Test batting rankings. This has given him a new personal best.

As well as batting, the West Indies have done well with their bowling and all-round skills. Jomel Warrican has made a six-spot jump to slot into 30th in the Test bowling rankings. Roston Chase has made an eight-place jump to share 23rd in the all-round rankings.

Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf jump in ODI rankings

The ODI tri-series in Pakistan came to an end, and there were some big jumps. The home nation saw their fast bowlers make great gains.

The Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi has risen one spot to fifth in the ODI bowling rankings. His teammate Haris Rauf has made an even bigger jump of five spots to 24th.

Fakhar Zaman has made a nine-spot jump to 37th in the batting rankings. England opener Ben Duckett has gained one spot to sixth. Pavan Rathnayake from Sri Lanka has made a massive 20-spot jump to 16th.

Shreyas Iyer makes biggest jump in T20I rankings

The T20I rankings also had some big changes. India captain Shreyas Iyer has made a two-place jump in the batting rankings. He helped his side win the series against New Zealand, so has moved up to seventh.

Glenn Phillips has made a 13-place jump to become 24th in the T20I batting rankings. His teammates Mitchell Santner and Jacob Duffy have both made improvements to their bowling rankings. Santner has made a two-spot jump to fifth. Duffy has made an impressive 23-spot jump to 23rd.

Azmatullah Omarzai from Afghanistan has made a three-spot jump into third in the T20I all-round rankings. This comes after an impressive Player of the Series performance in their recent series win against Zimbabwe in the UAE.
