Delhi: Thanks to the lethal bowling of Noor Ahmed, Afghanistan defeated Zimbabwe by 7 wickets in the third T20 match played in Sharjah and made a clean sweep of the three-match series 3-0. In this match played on Sunday, Afghanistan's bowlers performed so well that the entire Zimbabwe team was reduced to just 79 runs in 15 overs.

After winning the toss, Afghanistan chose to bowl first and put pressure on Zimbabwe from the very beginning. Fazalhaq Farooqui and Azmatullah Umarzai sent Innocent Kaiya and Brian Bennett back to the pavilion by taking wickets in consecutive balls in the first two overs. After this, Abdullah Tarakhail dismissed captain Sikandar Raza and reduced Zimbabwe's score to 3 wickets for 13 runs in the fourth over.

Ryan Burl tried to handle the innings by scoring 30 runs, but Abdullah Ahmadzai gave him out LBW. After this, Noor Ahmed did not allow Zimbabwe's middle order and lower order to survive. The entire team collapsed for 79 runs in front of his bowling.

Ibrahim Zadran and Umarzai led to victory

Chasing a small target, Afghanistan got off to a fast start. Mohammad Akram scored 14 runs in just 5 balls, but Blessing Muzarabani dismissed him. Sidiqullah Atal also played an inning of 20 runs in 14 balls.

Ernest Masuku sent him to the pavilion and then gave Zimbabwe hope of a comeback by taking the wicket of Noor ul Rahman. However, Ibrahim Zadran scored 25 not out and Azmatullah Umarzai scored 18 not out to help the team win by 7 wickets.

In reply, Sikandar Raza played a brilliant inning of 106 runs in 56 balls, but he could not lead the team to victory. Noor Ahmed was chosen player of the match.

In the first match, with the help of Rashid Khan's all-round performance, Afghanistan defeated Zimbabwe by 37 runs. Now both the teams will face each other in a two-Test series starting from November 5.
