Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the upcoming five-match ODI series against New Zealand. His availability was subject to fitness clearance, but the right-arm pacer hasn’t recovered from his hamstring injury.  He is at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and needs time to get ready for the matches. Prasidh is likely to join the India A squad for the third and final unofficial Test against New Zealand A, subject to him clearing the fitness parameters.

This will help him get ready for the two-Test series against the Kiwis. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj, who is one of the key players in the Test squad, will join India A for the second four-day contest against New Zealand A, starting October 31, 2026.

Nitish Kumar Reddy is a part of the ODI squad for the series opener on November 5. However, he will link up with the India A team for the last four-day game against New Zealand A. The team management wants him to prepare for the red-ball series against the host nation.
