Delhi:In the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2027 auction, UP Warriors have taken many important decisions to strengthen their team. In the auction held in Kochi on Wednesday, the franchise bought Australia's star all-rounder and captain Sophie Molineau for Rs 1.10 crore.

Apart from this, the team also brought back its old player Grace Harris, who was included with them for just Rs 30 lakh.

UP Warriors also bought Indian all-rounder Sneh Rana for his base price of Rs 30 lakh.

RCB and UP Warriors clash for Sophie Molineau

There was a good competition between UP Warriors and Royal Challengers Bangalore to buy Australian all-rounder Sophie Molineau. Molineau has been a part of RCB's title win in 2024, so his old franchise also showed interest in buying him.

UP Warriors started the bidding with Rs 50 lakh. After this RCB also joined the auction.

Within no time the bidding reached Rs 95 lakh, after which UP Warriors made an offer of Rs 1 crore.

RCB also did not give up and made a bid of Rs 1.05 crore. However, UP Warriors made a last ditch effort and made a bid of Rs 1.10 crore and included Molineau in their team.

The presence of Molineau will provide UP Warriors with a useful option in both the batting and bowling departments.

Grace Harris's homecoming, bought for just 30 lakhs

UP Warriors have recalled another Australian all-rounder Grace Harris to their team.

The franchise bought him for his base price of Rs 30 lakh.

Harris has previously been a part of UP Warriors in the 2023, 2024 and 2025 seasons. In such a situation, his understanding with the team environment and players is already there.

Interestingly, Harris was included in RCB's title-winning team in 2026. However, the Bengaluru franchise released him before the next season. RCB was preparing to make a place in the team for the return of Ellis Perry.

Now UP Warriors will hope that Harris takes advantage of his past experience and performs usefully for the team.

Sneh Rana also joined UP Warriors

UP Warriors also bought Indian all-rounder Sneh Rana at the base price of Rs 30 lakh. No other team bid for him.

Sneh has previously been a part of teams like Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. His experience can be useful for UP Warriors, especially when the team has to create good options among the Indian players.

Overall, UP Warriors have strengthened their all-round options with the inclusion of Sophie Molineau, Grace Harris and Sneh Rana.

Now it remains to be seen how the team performs with these players in WPL 2027.
