What did Dinesh Karthik say in favor of Rohit?
During a conversation with Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik said, “I think they are looking for a new captain. Now it will not take much time for it to be announced. Why not Rohit Sharma? He has been one of the most successful captains. Along with Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he is also counted among the most successful captains. So, if Mumbai hands over the captaincy to him again, then there is nothing wrong in it.”
He further said, “He is one of the brilliant captains, when his services are available, why should he not be taken advantage of? If he is made the captain, he has the full capability to fulfill this responsibility. Players naturally listen to him. In such a situation, he can prove to be a good option from the strategy point of view also.”
At present, the final decision regarding the captaincy of Mumbai Indians is yet to be known. The interesting thing to see will be who takes over the captaincy of MI in the future.
