Samit Dravid: Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna was bought by Mysore Warriors in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 player auction held on Thursday (25 July).

Karnataka wicketkeeper batsman L Revanna Chethan became the most expensive player to be sold in this season's auction. Let us tell you that the Maharaja Trophy is the official T20 tournament of the Karnataka State Cricket Association.

Krishna was out of the cricket field since January due to quadriceps surgery. He was part of Category A in this auction, whose base price was Rs 2 lakh. However, no team bought him in the first round, after which he was included in Category B, whose base price was Rs 1 lakh.

According to Cricbuzz, none of the six teams showed interest in buying Krishna in the first round. After which last season's runner-up Mysore Warriors added him to their team for Rs 1 lakh.

Let us tell you that in the IPL 2022 auction, Rajasthan Royals bought Krishna for Rs 10 crore. However, he could not play the last two seasons for the team due to injury.

L Revanna Chetan was bought by Bengaluru Blasters for Rs 8.6 lakh, his base price was Rs 1 lakh.

Chetan scored 309 runs in 11 innings at an average of 150.73 last season.

Mangaluru Dragons added spin bowling all-rounder Shreyas Gopal for Rs 7.6 lakh and he was the second most expensive player in this auction. Apart from this, Mysore Warriors bought Krishnappa Gautam for Rs 7.4 lakh, Gulbarga Mystics bought Lavnith Sisodia for Rs 7.2 lakh and Praveen Dubey for Rs 6.8 lakh.

Apart from this, Samit Dravid, son of former Team India captain Rahul Dravid, was bought by Mysore Warriors for Rs 50 thousand.

He will be seen playing in this tournament for the first time. Earlier, he was part of the Karnataka team in the Cooch Behar Trophy 2023-24.
