With this decision, the chance for Pakistan team to defend its title has also ended. The team had won the title of the tournament played in Sri Lanka last year and this time was going to take the field as the defending champion.

Why did PCB stop Pakistan team's trip to India?

Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association chief Fawad Ijaz on Wednesday confirmed the team's withdrawal from the tournament. He said that the organizers have been informed about this decision, so that they can make arrangements to include another team in time.

According to Fawad Ijaz, the tournament organizers and the host country had assured the Pakistani team of visa and security during their stay in India. After this, the association sought permission from the PCB as well as the Foreign and Home Ministries of Pakistan to send the team to India.

However, despite all efforts, the team did not get permission to come to India. Ijaz told that Pakistan Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the chairman of PCB, made it clear that the team will not be allowed to play in India.

Won the title last year, now won't even get a chance to defend it

This decision is also disappointing for the Pakistan team because it is the champion of the previous edition. After winning the title in the tournament held in Sri Lanka, the team had a chance to show its strength this time too.

But now the team will not participate in the competition to be held in India. In such a situation, she will not be able to defend her title. Now the organizers will also have to make preparations to include another team in its place.
