The 33-year-old all-rounder Hardik Pandya is followed by millions. After his international debut in 2016, he has become a key member of the Indian side and played a big role in the 2024 and 2026 T20 World Cup wins, as well as the 2025 Champions Trophy title.

A cricket fan recently walked 1400 kilometres from Lucknow to Mumbai to meet his idol.

He didn’t know that Pandya was now residing in Bengaluru. Ravi didn’t give up and walked almost another 1000 km to reach Bengaluru. What happened next was nothing short of heartwarming as Hardik met his fan with warmth and humility. The cricketer was heard telling someone to book train tickets for the fan for his safe journey home.

Hardik even hugged the fan who travelled a long distance with a placard. Ravi Rawat had revealed his desire to meet his favourite player. “Sapne Dekho aur unhe poora karo,” he wrote on social media.

Some of the other messages on the post read, “Main Lucknow se chote se gaon ka rehne wala hu. Hardik Sir se milne ke liye ek nishulk padhyatra.” (I come from a small village in Lucknow. This walk is to meet Hardik, sir.” The young fan travelled 1394 KMs on foot, and the interaction between the two has now gone viral.

The video also showed the Mumbai Indians star asking Ravi, “Is there anything you need? Just tell me what I can do for you”.

The cricketer was also once again seen asking his team to make sure they book tickets for the fan. It was surely a heartwarming moment.

Hardik Pandya’s next destination in IPL

Ravichandran Ashwin said that the cricketer could join the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2027 season. “From what I have heard, Rajasthan Royals are leading the race as far as Hardik’s trade is concerned.”

After a dismal IPL 2026 season, the Indian cricket star opened up on his desire to leave the five-time winners.

It is unclear where the player will end up next season, with the trade talks having stalled. Pandya himself will be keen to head back to the park after being sidelined due to injury for the last five months.
